Best Irish game show series

“Search” takes the quiz show to the street and people are invited at random to stop and become quiz show contestants. And there is something else quite unique about this new RTE2 quiz, if you don’t know the answer to a question you can search for the answer using your phone. With limited search time the winners are those who know the most and search the least.

This new sports quiz tests the knowledge of our country’s brightest stars in a bid to determine if they Know The Score. More familiar with performing under the glare of thousands of spectators, Ireland’s best sports people will step under the studio lights in the ultimate sporting trivia contest. Presenter Jacqui Hurley asks the difficult questions of team captains, horse racing legend Ruby Walsh and former Irish rugby great Shane Byrne. On every show in the series, this trio is joined by select members of sport’s intelligentsia.

Play It By Year is a gameshow that delves into the RTÉ archives and quizzes the contestants on their knowledge and memory of the ’80s, ’90s, noughties and now. Hosted by Mike Murphy, Play It By Year will look at the celebrities, politics, sporting moments, quirky events and bizarre happenings of the last 35 years. In each show, three teams, each consisting of three team members, will dust down their memories and battle it out over nine nostalgic rounds for a holiday to Las Vegas.

Comedy quiz hosted by Neil Delamere in which team captains PJ Gallagher and Aoibhinn Ni Shuilleabhain and a panel of comedians and scientists attempt to answer some of humanity's most pressing questions.
