Two outlaws, The Lonely Rider and the Indian Tonto, have caught (at least they think they have) Speedy Gonzales, a ruthless gunfighter from the town of Njietponimaistadi. They start to travel to another town for the reward, through the desert without water and fighting against Indians. And just to find out that they have made a full circle back to origin.

Speedy Gonzales arrives in a small village in New York to investigate the mysterious death of his brother Moses, with the help of the lively Rita. In the village, they are met by Hämeen Hitain, Manolito, Bat Mastersson, and Clyde, among others, with whom Speedy must compete. His curiosity ultimately leads him to become the target of a manhunt.

Viola makes a wanted poster of herself, and assumes the identity of a highwayman named Gonzales. Viola/Gonzales surrenders to a quirky bandit duo, who now believe they will be well rewarded for bringing this outlaw to authorities. As the pair is taking Gonzales to the gallows, they get lost in the desert. A day's journey turns into an adventure that tests the trio's physical resilience and mental maturity.
