Ciao Darwin is a variety game show format from Italy sold under licence to several countries, including Romania, Hungary, Poland, Serbia, Canada, USA, China and Greece. There are two competing teams of about 50 people each, usually made up of people who fit certain opposing stereotypes. In each game two members of the audience are selected at random, one from each team, indicated by a light in front of them which remains illuminated when all the other team members' lights have gone off. The games involve contestants competing in acts of bravery, style and talent, some of which are designed to humiliate the contestants, especially an assault course which was introduced with the Italian version in 2010, and the Finale which is a water tank game.

Top Gear Italia is an international version of the popular British BBC Two motoring show. This version of the show is presented by Guido Meda (an Italian commentator of the Moto GP), Joe Bastianich (an American restaurateur, previously a judge on MasterChef Italia) and Davide Valsecchi (an Italian racing driver and GP2 Series champion). It also features the Italian version of "The Stig".

Che tempo che fa is an Italian television talk show hosted by the Italian television host Fabio Fazio. It has been broadcast live on Saturdays and Sundays on the Italian State TV Channel Rai Tre in Milan since 2003. The show has been aired prime time since September 2003. Che tempo che fa is a one-to-one talk show with two guests every night. Current events, political, economic, sporting, musical, literary, cinematic, scientific, nature and environmental issues of topical interest are discussed. Fabio Fazio’s feature is having friendly conversations rather than formal interviews. In its last edition the show made an average prime-time share of 15%, with an audience of 3,500,000 people.

Drive In is an Italian television variety show, broadcast by Italia 1 between 1983 and 1989. It was referred as the most innovative and popular Italian television show of the 80s.

Caro maestro is an Italian television comedy series which aired from 1996 to 1997 on Canale 5. The series follows Stefano Giusti, a bus driver who is allowed to teach at Forte dei Marmi elementary school in which he was raised. There, he meets and falls in love with Elisa, teacher and director of the school, with whom he used to date.

Satirical television program aired from November 4 to December 18, 2002. The transmission was intended to shed light on a case (of course fantasy) of a missing person, Mario Scafroglia. The hypothesis was that the man had voluntarily lost track of himself, which offered in each episode new food for thought to deepen in a satirical way themes of current affairs, politics and costume, in an attempt to understand the reasons that had driven Scafroglia to flee.

When the victim is in an absurd and paradoxical situation in which, however, nothing serious is actually happening. In the scheme of the program, the authors agree with some accomplices to make a joke on the chosen victim. The television program is a direct heir to the famous American show Candid Camera (filmed in Italy in the sixties by director Nanni Loy with the transmission Mirror secret) in which, to further intrigue the audience, the victims of the jokes are characters taken from the world of entertainment, cinema, music, journalism and politics, all more or less famous.

Satyricon è stato un varietà televisivo satirico scritto e interpretato da Daniele Luttazzi, con la regia di Franza di Rosa. Andò in onda con cadenza settimanale (salvo sospensione di una puntata, in seguito a polemiche) in seconda serata su Rai 2 da gennaio ad aprile 2001. Nonostante ascolti con punte di sette milioni e mezzo di telespettatori, il CDA Rai lo tolse dal palinsesto per la stagione successiva. Ispirato ai talk show notturni americani, un genere introdotto in Italia da Luttazzi nel 1999 con Barracuda (Italia Uno), Satyricon era caratterizzato da un monologo iniziale di battute satiriche sull'attualità politica, sociale e culturale, e da tre interviste a singoli ospiti, il tutto intervallato da sketch e rubriche comiche.

With Barracuda, Daniele Luttazzi imported for the first time in Italy the TV genre of the "Late Show" created in the United States in the fifties by the presenter Steve Allen). In each episode, Luttazzi interviewed in the studio various personalities from the world of entertainment, cinema, music, politics and journalism. The program, in addition to an opening satirical monologue, also included comedy sketches with guests and humorous columns.
