Gladiators was an Australian television series which aired on the Seven Network in 2008. It was a revival of the earlier series of the same name, and was based on the American version of the show, which was also revived in 2008.The show was filmed at The Dome at the Sydney Showground, and was hosted by Tom Williams and Zoe Naylor. Well known NRL referee Bill Harrigan was one of the two referees for the show, the other was John Forsythe, who was a referee on the original series. Although not credited, the Sydney Altitude Cheerleaders were present in every episode, doing various routines throughout each episode whether an event was taking place or not.Behind the scenes, highly respected military fitness expert 'Chief' Brabon was responsible for preparing the gladiators for their extremely physical roles.The revival of Gladiators was first announced on 9 September 2007, and premiered on 30 March 2008 at 6:30 pm. The Challengers in this series competed to win A$50,000 and a new Subaru Forester.No official announcement was made by the Seven Network as per the future plans for the series.

1 vs. 100 is an Australian spin-off game show based on the American version of the same name and the original Dutch version created by Endemol. The game pits one person against 100 others for a chance to win one million dollars. The program is hosted by former Nine Network CEO and personality Eddie McGuire.The Australian version of the show premiered on 29 January 2007 at 8:30 pm on the Nine Network and is recorded in the Melbourne Docklands Central City Studios.The format of the Australian show is based on series 2 of the US show. High Rollers (1974)

High Rollers is an American television game show that involved players trying to win prizes by rolling dice. The format was based on the dice game Shut the Box.High Rollers debuted on July 1, 1974 as part of NBC's daytime lineup. In September 1975, an accompanying series was launched in syndication and aired once weekly on local stations. Both of these series ended in 1976, with the daytime series ending on June 11, 1976. Alex Trebek, referred to on air as "the man with the action", was the host for these series. On April 24, 1978, NBC brought High Rollers back with Trebek hosting and aired it until June 20, 1980 when it was one of three series cancelled to make room for The David Letterman Show. The series was produced by Heatter-Quigley Productions

It's a Knockout (AU) (1985)

It's a Knockout was the Australian adaption of the UK gameshow of the same name. Teams were divided into Australian states: New South Wales (NSW), Victoria (VIC), Queensland (QLD) and South Australia (SA). Teams would compete in silly races, games and challenges often with larger than life characters and obstacles courses to compete over.

Sponsored by Hahn the show will aim to celebrate the wonderful world of beer by unveiling genius beer-related inventions by some of Australia's brightest beer pioneers… that means they are looking for dudes who have invented something to make their beer drinking experience easier/more fun/more fun.According to the website that means everything from beer bottle launching robots to 21st Century stubbie holders.What they are not looking for is anything illegal, dangerous (kill joys), plagiarised or indeed anything that helps make/brew beer – Hahn will be providing the beer. But if you submit a successful idea you could land a spot on prime-time TV with a shot at the $15,000 grand prize.Not too shabby.

Who Dares Wins (1984)

Who Dares Wins is an Australian adventure game show that aired on the Seven Network between 1996 and 1998, with re-runs airing in 2005 and 2007. Hosted by former test cricketer Mike Whitney and co-hosted by Tania Zaetta, the show has been screened in over 50 countries around the world.As an adventure game show in which contestants are expected to complete undesirable tasks in order to win prizes, Who Dares Wins could be considered a precursor to contemporary reality TV series such as Fear Factor. It was created by David Mason and Adrian Brant.
