A series of mini travel documentaries around the region of Aridaia, Greece.

The series chronicles the transformation of the young Maria Callas from an ugly duckling to the greatest diva of all time, during the Occupation in Athens. We follow Maria through her relationship with the key figures in her young life: her mother, her Spanish teacher, her baritone lover, her pianist sister, the German conductor. However, each of them, impressed by her talent, has other plans for Maria.

Το «Ζήτω το ελληνικό τραγούδι» με παρουσιαστή τον Διονύση Σαββόπουλο που προβλήθηκε από τις 11 Οκτωβρίου 1986 ως το καλοκαίρι του 1987, κατάφερε να συγκεντρώσει κάποια από τα μεγαλύτερα ονόματα του ελληνικού τραγουδιού (και όχι μόνο), πραγματοποιώντας απρόβλεπτες συμπράξεις και ξεχωριστές ζωντανές ηχογραφήσεις...Βασικοί συνεργάτες του Διονύση Σαββόπουλου ήταν ο Γιώργος Κοντογιάννης, ο Σωτήρης Κακίσης, η Αντζελίνα Καλογεροπούλου και ο Σταμάτης Φασουλής.Μέσα από την εκπομπή, ο Διονύσης Σαββόπουλος σχολίαζε τα θέματα της μουσικής και της ευρύτερης καλλιτεχνικής παραγωγής και επικαιρότητας. Επίσης, αναφερόταν σε διάφορα είδη και εποχές του ελληνικού τραγουδιού, μέσα από αφιερώματα σε πρόσωπα και γεγονότα. Η εκπομπή επιχειρούσε να συγκεράσει την ελληνικότητα, το λαϊκό στοιχείο και τη μοντέρνα ροκ αισθητική.
