The film shows how we often complicate our own lives and overlook what truly matters. Two friends, Veronika and Klára, return home to a series of family and social gatherings - three weddings and one funeral - that turn their worlds upside down and lead them to discover love, happiness, and their place in life.

The story of the film The Candidate takes place during two months of campaigning before a non-specific presidential election in one specific country. The author of the diary entries has no idea for whom he is recording the eavesdropping and enthusiasm for an interesting job in which he follows a bishop, a crazy owner of an advertising agency and a bland presidential candidate with the eloquent name Peter Potôň and an even sweeter-sounding family history, soon give way to disgust and confusion. His diary becomes a file with transcripts of conversations, information about characters and characters, emails, scraps from psychiatric medical records and pictures, which he scribbles at first out of boredom, later because words and rational explanations are no longer enough. The candidate is a political farce, a sad-funny depiction of what happened, is happening, and could very easily happen in this small country.

Jakub's life arrived at a dead-end. He leaves his job, and gets into conflict with his father. The trouble just grows by his relation with a married woman. In a research station in the Soviet military area of Beregavoye, a gas was developed to destroy the armies of the enemies of socialism. However, the gas experiment got out of control and had to be shut down. The remaining smoke bombs reached us during the Soviet occupation of Czechoslovakia in August 1968. Later, during a conscription exercise for high school students in 1985, gas from a stray smoke bomb infected students. A small group of students struggle to survive with their infected, aggressive classmates, but also with the schoolmaster Sergei, a former Red Army special forces officer. The infected students become biting and killing beasts. They fight with saw, club and red flag.

The loose sequel to the film "Pásla kone na betóne" returns to the familiar heroes after some time. The communist dictatorship is no longer raging and capitalism is penetrating even the remote corners of Slovakia. As it turns out, however, people don't change much over time, and their joys and worries are still the same. The tragicomic story depicts the vicissitudes of Johanna's new relationship with brewery manager Janko Kvašný, the unhappy marriage of her daughter Paulina and life in the new social conditions in an eastern Slovak village.

Dark satire about bare-knuckled capitalism in the immediate post-Cold War era. Set just as the Communist government is collapsing, the film focuses on the brutish Racz, the handyman in a Bratislava hotel. Knowing that his job is insured for life, Racz turns off the building's heat and demands food, money, and sex to have it restored. The film is narrated by a pimp named Urban who explains that people in the former Czechoslovakia were so used to being abused that they simply put up with Racz's corruption. By the end of the film, Racz's fortunes have changed considerably. Instead of being a lowly worker, he is now a ruthless and wealthy businessman, unafraid to kill or kidnap those who get in his way.

Rytmaus decides to run for president of the Slovak Republic. Pišta Lakatoš will stand against him in the elections. Thanks to the sale of clean drinking water, Slovakia is becoming a world power that co-decides on the future of humanity with the biggest powers such as the USA, Russia and the EU. Even the devil Moloch gets involved in the game for the planet...

A very black comedy about people in their 40ies who already have money, but still listen to rock and roll, exchanging drugs for mobile phones.

She meets Juraj, a sympathetic driver, but when he seems to have found what she was looking for in him, he leaves her to try his luck in pop music. On top of that, Zuzana has to fight off attacks from her former partner Rony, now a rich gangster, who tries to seduce her. There is something for every teenager in this attractive musical. From a series of action scenes, shootouts, fights, love, the male friendship of the tough guys and their flashy trucks, to smuggled guns, mobsters holding the corrupt police and judiciary in their grip, plenty of songs and humour, and a glimpse into the corrupt backstage of show business.

The two farces Korhel and The Adulterer are a continuation of the television adaptation of two farces by Jonáš Záborský from 1978. Through the kindly character of Jonah Záborský, with the help of an angelic school, we embark on a journey with the devil to reform drunks and adulterers.

A story based on two short stories by the Slovak classic Martin Kukučín, which in a humorous and kindly tone brings closer the nature of our people.

Jakubisko’s comedy about infidelity inside the community of lumberjacks in three chapters. First, a group of men gets to know that there comes a group of female brigadiers to a near village and tries to seduce them, which won’t come out as precisely as they wanted. In the next chapter, one girl got pregnant and lumberjacks tries to solve this by a wedding to a man called Domino. In the final phase, they’re struggling for the successful wedding and are afraid of possible punishment from their wives.
