Svaleskär handlar om Sara som är fast boende på den fiktiva ön Fyringen i Göteborgs skärgård tillsammans med hunden Konrad och hennes pappa Gaston som säljer öns specialitet – sillburgare. Saras mamma försvann spårlöst under en segling fyra år tidigare. På sommaren brukar Sara träffa hennes bästa kompis Krasse som är sommarboende på ön, och de brukar segla. Just den här sommaren umgås hon med Krasse, Ibb och Irmelie. På ön bor även en enstöring, den ökända Nikki Lauda. En känd skröna i trakten berättar om Havsfrun, en gestalt som ska ha uppenbarat sig vid en obemannad fyr på Svaleskär. Det sägs att alla som träffat Havsfrun antingen försvunnit eller blivit knäppa. Det ryktas även om att Havsfrun tog Saras mamma, men Sara vägrar tro att det är sant och kan inte låta bli att med kompisarnas hjälp söka sanningen om hennes saknade mamma. Samtidigt träffar hennes pappa Gaston en ny kvinna som heter Anna.

Vi på Saltkråkan is a Swedish TV series in 13 25-minute episodes from 1964. The script for the series was written by Astrid Lindgren, who later re-wrote it as a book, also titled Vi på Saltkråkan. Astrid Lindgren was closely involved in the filming and editing of the series, which took place on Norröra in the Stockholm archipelago. The series was produced and directed by Olle Hellbom.

The TV-series included songs and sketches with education about letters, numbers, positions, etc. Fem myror är fler än fyra elefanter was broadcast first on 19 November 1973 on TV2 by Sveriges Television and it was also broadcast as Julkalendern 27 November –24 December 1977. Fem myror is able to buy on VHS and DVD and there are also PC games.
